Saepio and Kansas State University Team Up to Create Segment Specific Social Media Recommendations
February 24, 2010
Local Students Researching Trends and Preferences of Saepio Customers as part of Graduate Program
Kansas City, MO – February 24, 2010 – Saepio, a leading provider of marketing technology for corporations with distributed marketing networks, today announced that it is working closely with Kansas State University’s (KSU) Masters of Business Administration (MBA) capstone class to research and categorize successful social media strategies for distributed marketers based on varying customer service models. The relationship will result in recommended social media strategies and tactics Saepio customers can employ at the corporate level to encourage yet control brand messaging via social media at the local market level.
Saepio, a member of the Marketing Advisory Board for KSU, is providing MBA students with hands on experience through researching its client base to provide insightful social media recommendations. For the next two months, the KSU team will be conducting a deep dive into online and offline customer relations programs being utilized by Saepio customers and extracting potential social media CRM approaches. Findings will be segmented based on customers with similar overall CRM approaches. The students will present their findings to Saepio’s marketing team at the end of April and will follow with a presentation to select clients.
“For MBA students, the best way to learn about solving real-world business problems is through hands-on experience,” said Dr. Swilley, Assistant Professor of KSU’s Marketing Department and MBA faculty advisor. “It is a great and unique opportunity to work with Saepio’s broad range of customers representing some of the world’s largest brands. Through this experience, our students will have an opportunity to research and provide insights into social media trends throughout various franchises and markets, experience that will certainly be applied in their future professions.”
“We are excited for this opportunity to partner with KSU’s MBA program and for the energy that its students bring to this project,” said Stephen Tucker, Vice President at Saepio. “The outcomes from their research will provide our customers with tried and true social media recommendations that can be easily applied to marketing efforts. Saepio is thrilled to be able to contribute to the growth of KSU students’ education.”
